Starting a new job can be scary its hard to know if your boss likes you are not.

Whether you're just starting a new job, or you've been in your current job for a while, here are some sure fire ways that will get your boss to like you, even if you suspect you may be on your bosses bad side.

Do your work well. This means doing a your job well, doing it fast, and doing it better than everyone around you. Make sure your final product has been double checked for errors, is organized, looks presentable, and is given to your boss in a manner that meets and beats their expectations as well as in a way that your boss can easily understand.

Be flexible. If you are working on a project and your boss hands you something else to do, make that your priority, even if you are in the middle of something. Whatever your boss tells you to do, that should be your biggest priority at all times.

Communicate with your boss. Its ideal if you can have weekly status meetings to go over your projects and prioritize them according to your bosses needs. This is also the ideal time to ask   your boss for feedback. Good questions to ask are "How am I doing with this project?", " Am I meeting the expectations for this task?", " What are the overall goals of such and such?". If you don't understand something about anything you are working on, this is a good time to be prepared with a list of questions to ask. This shows that you are being considerate of your bosses time.

If you aren't overwhelmed with work and you see a chance to take extra work--take it. Even if it means, putting some extra hours in at the office. It will show that you want to take some load off your bosses shoulders, that you are a team player, and you have a good work ethic.

If you screw up, admit your mistakes right away, and go to your boss with the mistake, and a positive possible solution. This will help your boss trust you and also show your boss that you are a problem solver.

Make your boss look good. Show up to meetings on time. Always say good things about your boss. Dress appropriately for work, and finally-- be a positive presence around the office, everyone will notice and appreciate you for it!
